Issue: First_Channel specified in the ADC Channel Register always zero after hardware reset, or it functions based on previous value.

Detailed Description: 

The internal logic that seeks the position of the first_channel is running too early during an ADC Channel Register write cycle. 

Work Around: 

Where first_channel value is not zero: Write the same value to the ADC Channel Register twice. 

NOTE: for those applications where the first_channel value defined in the ADC Channel Register is zero, the work around is not required and this issue is not relevant.
